The symbolism was everywhere. We were impressed by the level of execution the Freemasons were able to achieve. They have played a pivotal role in shaping the development of modern societies, including the United States. The Founding Fathers, many of whom were Freemasons, have embedded Templar symbols, codes, and spiritual knowledge into the nation’s architecture, founding documents, and even in the very structure of the capital city, Washington DC. The Great Seal of the United States and its connection to the ancient Templar symbol of the Eye of Providence could be seen as evidence of a hidden, spiritual influence embedded within the fabric of American society. The Boston Tea Party in 1773, while a key event in the American Revolution, is said to have deeper connections to the Knights Templar. The secrecy surrounding the founding of the United States, and the desire for independence from foreign control, could be seen as aligning with the Templars’ own rebellious spirit against external powers. Some believe that the Boston Tea Party was not just a protest against British rule, but also a spiritual and esoteric statement symbolising a break from spiritual “oppression” or control. The actions of the revolutionaries can be viewed as a form of freedom and awakening, in line with Templar ideals of sacred freedom and the restoration of ancient knowledge. A popular legend among those interested in Templar history is that there might be hidden treasure buried beneath the streets of Boston, particularly around Freemasonic lodges. Some speculate that gold, sacred artifacts, and ancient texts were brought to the area by Templar knights fleeing Europe after the dissolution of their order. When you imagine the intersection of the dome’s curvature with the rotunda inside, a subtle form of Vesica Piscis can be visualized, representing the union of the spiritual and material realms—a connection between heaven and earth. The Washington Monument: The obelisk, which stands in alignment with the Capitol Building, has a pointed, triangular shape, symbolizing divine masculine energy. When combined with the Capitol Building (feminine archetype), these two structures can create an energetic Vesica Piscis. The space between them, particularly the National Mall, could be viewed as a symbolic intersection where the two realms (material and spiritual) meet, thus embodying the creation and balance of masculine and feminine energies.
